Ruth was born and raised in Hong Kong and received her training in Sports Therapy & Rehabilitation in Edinburgh & Bristol from 2009-2014. 

Receiving a DipHe from Edinburgh Napier University (2011)  in Sports & Exercise Science (Sports Injuries), followed by a full BSc(Hons) Sports Therapy & Rehabilitation from Bristol University of The West of England (2014). She gained 3-4 years of professional experience in various facets of the industry mainly focused on Sports environments such as semi-professional rugby with a National II South West rugby team, grassroots professional  football and private practice specialising in back pain.

Active Relief HK was established at  the end of 2017 after working in a large private practice for two years after returning  to  Hong  Kong. Growing alongside like minded people within the industry:  therapists, gyms and trainers alike, has been a big highlight of the journey so far.

Helping people learn how to manage their pain, injuries and imbalances, and discovering the source of these dysfunctions is what Ruth is passionate about. She has a keen interest in sports related problems, but has grown over the years into the field of desk -bound problems and pre/post-natal care.
